No account needed to browse. Anyone can explore the book library, search by title, author, or trope, and view book details (no sign-in required).

You do need a free account to:

• Mark books as To Be Read (TBR) or Read
• Create and fill in a Bingo Card or Hidden Gems Card
• Submit new books or request corrections to existing entries
• Track reading dates and manage your personal lists

Creating an account is free. Click Sign In in the top navigation and choose Create Account.

The Sapphic Book Bingo is a reading challenge hosted by author Jae at jae-fiction.com. Readers fill a bingo card by reading books that match specific tropes or categories."

This site is a companion tool to help you discover books that fit each square, track your progress, and connect with the community. Official challenge rules, prizes, and printable cards are available on Jae's website.

Go to Browse Books in the sidebar. The search bar at the top lets you type any part of a title, author name, trope, or audiobook narrator. Results update as you type and tolerate small typos, so "enemys to lovers" will still find "Enemies to Lovers."

You can combine the search bar with the filters below it:

• Trope dropdown — filter to books matching a specific trope (e.g. "Slow Burn," "Fake Dating")
• Setting/Location — show only books set in a specific place (e.g. Country, State/Province/Territory, or at sea/fictional world/outer space)
• Cover Color — browse visually by filtering to a specific cover color
• Publication Year — narrow results by when the book was published
• Challenge Year — show only books relevant to a specific year's bingo card tropes
• Sort — order by recently added, title A–Z, author, or publication year

Use the Trope dropdown in the Browse Books toolbar. Selecting a trope — such as Enemies to Lovers or Found Family — will show only books tagged with that trope.

You can also combine the trope filter with the Challenge Year selector to see only books that fit a specific year's bingo card. When a challenge year is selected, the trope dropdown automatically updates to show only that year's tropes.

• All — shows every book in the library (default)
• TBR — shows only books you've added to your To Be Read list (requires sign-in)
• Read — shows only books you've marked as read (requires sign-in)
• Audiobook — filters to books with an audiobook edition available
• KU KU — filters to books currently available on Kindle Unlimited

Sign in, then click Bingo Card in the sidebar under the Challenge section. If you don't have a card yet, you'll see a prompt — click + Start Card, choose the challenge year, and your 5×5 grid will be created instantly.

You can create cards for multiple years and switch between them using the card switcher above the grid.

Click any tile on your bingo card to open it. You'll see the trope for that square and a list of books you've marked "Read" from the library that match. Click a book to assign it to that tile.

To remove a book from a tile, click the tile again and choose to unassign it. Completed rows, columns, or diagonals are highlighted as bingos automatically.

A bingo is earned when you fill an entire row, column, or diagonal on your 5×5 card. The site tracks these automatically and highlights completed lines on your card.

Filling all 25 squares earns a Blackout Your card displays a ⭐ badge when you reach it.

Yes, click the Download PDF button above your bingo card to save a snapshot of your current card as a PDF file.

Yes — click Optimize My Cards from your Bingo or Hidden Gems Card to auto-suggest the best way to assign your already-Read books across open squares. It also flags books you've read that don't fit any current square yet, in case you want to start a card for another year.

The Hidden Gems Card is a smaller 3×4 (12-tile) challenge card focused on spotlighting under-the-radar sapphic reads.

It works the same way as the Bingo Card: click Hidden Gems Card in the sidebar, start a card for your chosen year, and assign books to each tile. Fill all 12 squares for a Blackout!

Click any book to open its detail view, then use the Add TBR or Mark Read buttons. You can also toggle these directly from the book grid without opening the detail view.

When marking a book as Read, you'll be prompted to enter the date you finished it.

Click My Reading in the sidebar. It's organized into tabs:

• My Dashboard — a personal reading overview
• Read & To Be Read— your book lists, filterable by search, year, format, and trope
• My Favorites — your personal favorite reads of the year
• My Destinations — a map of where your reading has taken you
• Wrap-Up — your end-of-year reading recap

You can edit finish dates, remove entries, or move books between Read and TBR at any time.

Each book on your Read and To Be Read tabs can show pills for the tropes it matches in a given challenge year — use the year filter to see which of your books fit that year's card at a glance.

A place to track your personal favorite sapphic reads of the year, separate from the bingo challenge. Pick up to two favorites per month across book, ebook, and audiobook formats, build multiple cards per year, and save your finished card as an image to share.

A map that fills in as you read: countries and states light up based on the settings of books you've marked Read. To tag a book's setting/location, use the Update a Book form (or the Edit button on a book's detail view) — once approved, it'll count toward your map.

An end-of-year recap of your reading: how many books you read, a month-by-month breakdown, your most-read tropes, total audiobook listening time, a look at your covers by color, and how many bingo lines you completed. It fills in automatically from your Read list.

Books on Sale (in the sidebar) lists books with limited-time discounts. It's public (no sign-in needed) and you can filter by format and sort by title or author.

A spotlight on authors in the sapphic book community. Jae is permanently featured there, alongside a rotating cast of monthly featured authors. Click Featured Authors in the sidebar to browse who's currently featured (including Jae's books) and see previously featured authors; click through to an author's page for their bio and books.

A rotating monthly collection built around a theme (e.g. a trope, setting, or season). When one is active, it appears in the sidebar with its own filterable sub-categories.

A browsable list of Award winners and finalists, filterable by year, status, category, and publisher.

Sign in and click Stats to see community-wide reading data: total contributions, collection size, the most-read and most-TBR'd books and authors, a cover color breakdown, and Community Bingo/Hidden Gems heatmaps showing which squares everyone else is filling.

Sign in and click Submit a Book in the sidebar. You'll need to provide the Goodreads URL for the book and select the tropes that apply. Our team will retrieve the title, author, cover, and other details automatically and review the submission within a few days.

You don't need to be an author to submit — reader recommendations are very welcome!

The Submit a Book form needs a Goodreads URL, so if a book isn't listed there, submit it through the Feedback form instead and our team will add it by hand. Please include:

• A URL where we can learn more about the book (the publisher's page, the author's site, an online retailer, etc.)
• The applicable categories/tropes
• The synopsis
• The page count
• The date of publication, if known

There are two ways. Sign in and click Update a Book in the sidebar, enter the title and author, and describe what needs changing — such as a missing purchase link, incorrect trope, a setting/location, or outdated cover art.

Or, faster for a book you're already looking at: open its detail view and click the Edit button to open the same correction form, pre-filled for that book. Our team reviews all requests either way and applies approved changes.

A quick link out to that book's Goodreads page, when available.

Click your avatar (the circle with your initial) in the top-right corner and select Change Password, then enter and confirm your new password. If you've forgotten your password, use Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and we'll email you a reset link (check your spam folder too). If you sign in with Google only, your password is managed by Google.

Use the Feedback form (available in the sidebar when signed in) to report bugs, suggest features, or ask questions. Describe what you encountered, including your device and browser if relevant.

For accessibility concerns, reach out through the same form — accessibility support is a priority and we aim to respond within 5 business days. Our small team typically responds to all inquiries within 3–7 business days.

Click your avatar in the top-right corner and select My Feedback. It lists everything you've submitted and any replies from our team — a badge appears on the avatar menu when you have an unread response.

Click your avatar in the top-right corner and select Preferences. From there you can toggle off email notifications, such as giveaway and community event emails, that you'd rather not receive.

Each month, a special announcement post features clues to help you guess our next featured authors! Read the clues, submit your best guess for the author, and you'll be entered into a prize drawing.

Entries are open through midnight CST on the last day of the month, and winners are announced on the 1st in a post in the Announcements section.

Anyone can enter! Ebook and some audiobook prizes are open to entrants worldwide. Paperback prizes are available to US residents only.

You must provide a valid email address to enter — one entry per person, per giveaway.

When a giveaway is active, click the Guess the Author button in the Announcements section. Fill in your author guess(es), your name, your email address, and whether you're located in the US. US residents will also see options to opt into physical prize categories. Hit Submit — that's it!

Winners are selected by random drawing from all eligible entries after the submission window closes. Each person can win only one prize per giveaway. Physical prizes (paperbacks) are drawn first from the US-eligible pool; remaining entrants are then entered into the drawing for digital prizes.

Ebook and audiobook codes are sent directly to the email address you provided at entry. If you win a paperback, we'll reach out by email to coordinate delivery with the author — please watch your inbox (and spam folder!).
